Few people in d&b have such a versatile range of styles… never one to be pigeon-holed, the only constant is the quality of the music. With an open ear and his finger on the pulse, he can be found regularly working alongside established names such as Mindscape, Naibu, Spinline, Sam KDC as well as newer talents such as Fields, Mako, Villem, Halogenix, Stray, War, Mateba, Atmospherix and Dot.
Hydro has played in clubs for the last 15 years, with gigs & residencies across the UK and tours around the world. He’s also held residencies in Barcelona, Beijing and in Seoul, Korea and worked alongside all the big names: Goldie, Andy C, Klute, Grooverider, Roni Size, Marcus Intalex, Kemistry & Storm and more including artists such as DJ Krush & DJ Shadow. Hydro has been releasing records since 2004 when his celebrated collabs with Break first appeared on Fierce’s Quarantine label & DNAudio among others. Then partnerships with Hungarians SKC, Tactile, Spinline & Munk, led to releases on Tactile Vinyl and ‘Black Lotus’ on Citrus Records with Mindscape & Jade. These were followed with huge singles on Commercial Suicide, Critical & Fokuz. 2011 saw six big releases on the likes of C.Suicide, Dispatch, Horizons & Demand. So far 2012 is looking to be even bigger… with a hectic DJ schedule and a host of releases forthcoming, which include: ‘Fragment’ on Data’s debut LP, ‘Dissolve’ on Break’s Symmetry label, ‘Understand’ & ‘Apparitions’ on Horizons, and a very special remix for Sam KDC.
Hydro’s tracks receive wide spread airplay from many djs such as: Goldie, Klute, Loxy, Break, Noisia, Alix Perez, Icicle, Bailey, D.Bridge, Ant TC1, Flight, Logistics & even Laurent Garnier.
